Spell-IT-Right or is it Write!  Do you care of How we spell Al Uzaizat! Spelling your name is more important! I didn't sign the birth certificate for any member to know how they spell their name, my name is Nasser and on my Canada Passport they put it Naser, and when my son was born his name was spelled Nasser and his sencond name is Anthony! Khalil Iskandar Sawalha is asking? There's one issue needing attention NOW. How do you spell (العزيزات ) in English? Look at the different ways it has been spelled by as many different authors! I think it needs to be unified. This could be confusing to the younger generations. So let's get everyone involved to spell it right. Khalil choose ..."scroll down". Dr. Shibli Sawalha choose I beleive the true pronounciation of tony "Al Uzaizat" is the correct one. all others are variations which are phonetically may be correct but not the proper way of writing . Khalil Iskandar Sawalha choose " Uzaizat " should be the way to spell the word describing anyone who belongs to this ancient family. I hope everyone without exceptions will use this spelling from now on. the following is for the younger generations whose Arabic is so & so:
The Name Al-Uzaizat (Arabic العزيزات) meaning The Uzaizat family, received this descriptive calling it is believed directly from the Prophet Mohamad in the sixth century AD. (read Dr. Shweihat book).
I think this is quite significant for our family to be traced back that far, honorobly I might add, because not even the bluest blood European or Russian Royal families can go back this far in their ancestory ! Khalil I. Sawalha |
