Mini stories
It's not Facebook, It's Al' Uzaizat Modern History!
Leila Nayef Zaki Saleem Al' Pasha Marar mini stories and in her own words:
Naser Marar/the founder and author of Al' Uzaizat modern History wrote this introduction: Leila didn't know that we have a family website Al' Uzaizat Groups or that we are writing about Al' Uzaizat modern history. Leila was invited by other family member recently and she was very excited to learn more about the family history becasue she left Jordan when she was a little girl and now she had two of her own living in Kent-England! While communicating with Leila in the course of one day, I did explain to Leila as I did with many of you that most family members as many other people in the world when they send or receive an Email they keep it for minute or two and sometimes it goes to the JUNK or deleted. Here at Al' Uzaizat modern History we keep your Email, simply it's your life history and it's written in your own words and it's not JUNK, it's Al' Uzaizat history! I usually cut and pasts the whole message. Below is a sample of chat between LEILA and TONY, if Leila choose to write only mini stories about her life it will be great idea, I still copy and pasts whatever Leila send me, as you know I can't chat with 1000s of family members, but I can always fill-in the gap. This sample is good for other family members to copy the idea and start chating with each other and send me the whole story so I can publish it under your name at your family private webpage! this is just a sample! Hope Leila will approve it, it's not so private! After reading the mini stories/chat can you tell me if your learned anthing about the family, I'm asking the visitors to this page, not you Cousin Leila!
Total of 9 Emails or one day chat with Leila:
5/12/2009 Leila sent membership application through the Contact form a 3 lines application!
I am Leila the eldest daughter of Nayef Zaki Saleem Al' Pasha Marar and would very much like to be able to read about the history of our family. Having lived in England for so long I really do not know much about it and have always wanted to know. If I understand the website correctly we have to send in a request to do so. If I am wrong I sincerely apologise. Kindest regards. Leila
Hello Cousin Leila! It's wonderful to hear from our 2nd Cousin after all these years! You're absolutely right about making a request to read more about the family old and modern history. It's not much of being private, but most of the family history is written in Arabic and the page link is written in Arabic and soon it will be translated into English; As for the modern history through communications with family members all over the world in the past 5 years I was able to collect rich family history, biography, photos, documents and much more and 90% are written in English or as you can see some of it already published! Also, many other articles are in debate/discussions with senior family members so I can publish it soon! As you know I'm one person operation, and your father (my Cousin Nayef) is going to make it much easier for me to do better job by meeting all family members in Jordan this summer and he made a generous contributions to support the project that may last for a life time. In summary; visiting the family website on a regular basis can give you more information and history each visit, depend on how much I can do. Hope more help will arrive soon! I'll be more than happy to add all your information from biography and photos and.... to my uncle Zaki Marar (Abu Nayef) webpage and this will be a great contribution to the family modern history! We recgnize all spouses females and all children in the family trees, send year of birth only for privacy reasons. Thanks. say hello to the family, talk to you soon!
Dear cousin Tony. Thank you so very much for your reply. This is wonderful what you have done. The work that you have put into this project and how proud we all are to be part of this magnificent and huge family. Its fantastic to be in touch with family, my family and I are so excited as I hope this will open up the door to meeting so many members and us all being in touch wherever we may live. Thank you for making this all possible. I will most definitely send this on for you and anything else that you require in the future, With love. Leila
Dear Cousin Leila, http://al-uzaizat.com/17.aspx this is the honest opinion link, if you wish to take it off for privacy I will take it off, please let me know! I'm excited to know we can keep line of communications open between all family members world wide! if you wish to have Emails I have 4500 of them on file! I just looked at my Uncle Zaki Marar page where your name and children are listed their, the webpage still under contructions and it will be fixed with much more details. and it's up to each member to provide any information they like until I can turn the site into mini Facebook, where each member can post their own! we're still crawling like the new born baby with 1400 years family history, but we will succeed!
Dear Cousin Tony. I feel very honoured that my comments were worthy of a being posted! Thank you. I shall send you some photos and details of my family shortly. Much love to you. Leila
Dear Cousin Leila, I don't know how to write short messages! And I want to ask you where do you live! Did you know that your Aunts May and Laurice were my sisters best friends, and Nabeeh and Nizar are my best friends when we all lived in Jordan! too many good memories! Family members are making history every second of the day by sending Emails, many of us think it's just JUNK, for me everything in your own words is a history before you know it! I did post on the website an old hand written letter from my Late Uncles, I don't know why my father saved them, and I don't know why I saved them after my father passed away, but for sure it was not JUNK! now these hand written letters are part of our family history! Please keep line of communications open, and stay in touch with the family...with love! this is the family slogan since 2005
Dear Cousin Tony. I had no idea that May and Laurice were your sisters best friends, I don't live too far from them about an hour away in Kent. Unfortunately I don't see them too often as I lead a very demanding life with my daughters Sophia 13 and Olivia 11. I adore Laurice she is so gentle and kind and her children are gorgeous. May is lovely and I absolutely adore her children. I have been to China with both of them on separate occasions and each time have had a wonderful time. I remember I lived in Jordan when I was young and I loved Gido, Tata's husband Julia Sawalha who owned Mount Hotel. And Munna who was always so loving to me. I remember going to school there and it had great big green gates and I was terrified and my Mum and the taxi driver carrying me in to the gates. The trips to Aqaba and Nizar making me a Bow and arrow out of palm wood. I would love to meet with the family again and bring my girls and show them where I come from as they have only seen where their father comes from which is Ireland. I hope I have bored you with my simple memories but is so exciting to be in touch with family members. With love and warm wishes. Leila
Now you start writing history in your own words, I'll add them together and make an artice ASAP, like a mini stories or movies! Dear Cousin Leila,
You have a great memory remembering Mount hotel, I worked for Aunt Julia when I was 10-16 years old jack of all trades! late Muna she treat me like her own son! May and Laurice lived almost same street Marar/bishop street, where your School was located with the big green door is the English school and we lived cross the street. My father was portraits photogapher Kodak Studio for 50 + years with rare collections of family photos my brother nader is the photo librarian. My brother Nazer worked for your dad in Canada somekind of partnership with Saudi's... I have not heard from May or Laurice maybe they can remember Nuha my sister she lives in BC or Alberta-Canada I think they went together to the Rosmary School next to the English School. Your grandmother Jamileh taught me how to beat the Arabic drums the Tableh, so she can dance on the beat I was 7 or 8 she was a good belly dancer you know our traditions to dance in wedding occasions... Nabeeh and Nizar when they come from England we use to build own kites and fly them so high from the roof top, and when my late uncle Zaki comes to Jordan he always asked my late mother to cook Karshat (the Lamb stomach parts...yak...I've eatin it in 30 years ) he don't want Mansaf! Stay cool and enjoy your day/evening say hello to the family.
Dear Cousin Tony. It is so wonderful to have someone fill in the gaps and I shall go and visit Laurice and May in the next few weeks and show them your email and I am sure they will have a message for you. Take care and have a wonderful day it has made my day having these chats, thank you for taking the time! With love and best wishes. Leila.
