Nasser Anthony Marar

My wife Debbie named him at birth by "Nasser" and I called him by "Anthony" and he rather uses the name "Nasser".  In sports his name is "Sir-Nasser" and as a teacher for K-12 the students called him by Mr. "M".  And at age 16 his first car plate for the Porsche was "NASCAR".  In 2005 Anthony raised many question about my relations with the Marar's family and he wants to know who are his first Cousins, Uncles, Aunts, nephews, nieces...etc.  And I named for him 100s of what I could remember and he was amazed of how many people are in the Marar family, and after I made the first/initial family tree he asked me to write it down and make a file for him on the computer; and I honored his request as I did when he asked me to write down all the food recipes that I created and introduced in my famous restaurants back in the 80s and early 90s (Fresh Dish and Machacho Restaurants) and for me being a creative Chef my recipes was recognized by the news media and local newspapers describing my menu by:  Chef Tony provides on a daily basis a various dishes prepared from scratch with a taste from every corner of the world! And (I documented for Anthony over 2000 recipes written on a 500 pages of scrap books).  Please note that Anthony like to eat healthy and home made meals and I always cooked for Anthony and his friends a 5-7 course meals on a daily basis regardless if I was busy, tired or in a bad mood!  If you asked why my wife Debbie didn't cook for him!  She’s good in cooking everything with sugar taste (the traditional old fashioned American dishes) Yak... I learned the art of cooking from my late mother Badia Sa'ad Khasho/Marar and from my Aunt late Julia Oudtallha Marar/Sawalha (Um Faried-Nadim and Nabil) at early age 7-16 as I did in Photography.  Since he was 8 years old and he still do invite his friends and as many as 300-400 people (Sports team players and their fans and families)and many times without making arrangement with me to show his friends that we live within the Jordanian traditions and hospitality as my grandfather and father did.

Anthony was born in Canada in 1981.  I kept Anthony away from his family for over 25 years, were my wife Debbie wants me to keep the relation with the family as she did with her side of the family!  Very few family members know Anthony from the day he was born.  I disobeyed my parents’ wishes to have him baptized and both have died without honoring their wishes!  Anthony in 2000 invited me to his baptism ceremony at the "Mormons Church" when he graduated from UNLV.  Anthony learned the Arabic Language from my later father Shukri until he died in 1985 and I never spoke with my son any Arabic word.  Anthony while he was at the University of Nevada Las Vegas "UNLV" he took a selective course "Arabic Language" and he asked me to help him with the materials and I refused; he was able to receive an A+ on his own!  I have good and close relations with my son, but he dislike my habits being stubborn like my ancestors “Salman Marar" or Salman Al' Aneed.  I accompanied my son since he was 7 years old to every sports game in United States regardless if we were in vacation or passing by a stadium and he's a sports freak!  I gave up on sports since he choose to graduate with major in physical education, while I want him to be an Engineer or a doctor or attorney, while my wife Debbie still accompany him and his friends to all sports events, music concerts, live shows including comedy standing live shows like "Jay Leno" around United States and Canada! 

Anthony is assisting "Abunassar" a retired basketball player a professional "Pros" in training and maintaining the physical conditions of many basketball players such as Kevin Garnett in Las Vegas at the "Tarkanian Sports Academy" owned and operated by Hall of Fame Coach Mr. Tarkanian a Lebanese decent!  Anthony was a sports column writer at Muncie Newspaper when he was at High School, and he love to read all kind of books and sports magazines.  Anthony misses his visits to his first Cousins and Uncles/Aunts in Kentucky and Canada that I use to drive 300 miles to visit them when I lived in Indiana and Niagara Falls, Canada!  I no longer like to drive more than 30 miles a day, while Anthony can take a plane anytime just to watch a sports game somewhere in Canada or United States! 

While I do appreciate doing business and assisting over 1500 Jordanian including members of Al' Uzaizat buying real estate investments in Las Vegas and around United States, but the only family member ever came to visit us in Las Vegas was Antoinette Issa Khasho or my first Cousin (she stayed with husband John Fasheh at Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino) and we had fun meeting them after 30 years on new year Eve 2008!  John is Boeing/NASA Engineer and he received a reward for being a member of the investigation team of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster during the re-entry to earth on February 01, 2003.  We always had a good relations with Khasho family when we lived in Amman and maybe much better in comparison with the Marar's or Al' Uzaizat (at that time all what I know Sawalha, Marar, Twal, Uzaizi, Zawaydeh, Dabaien, Farah, Alamat, Yacoub, Qussar, Zumot, Tannous are Al' Uzaizat) I didn't know other families I was too young to understand the relations.

On my son behalf I posted a welcome message at all websites for the family to stay at my home in Las Vegas since 2005 and I know 100s of you came to Las Vegas since 2005.  Anthony love to welcome you at anytime to stay at his town home as he always loves to see friends!
